Waterworks RM33GF Blizzard drinking fountain with bubbler and glass filler

Waterworks RM33 Blizzard: RM33 vs RM33GF vs RM33FA Compared

The Waterworks RM33 Blizzard is a tough, vandal-resistant chilled drinking fountain built for construction sites, mines, factories and schools. It comes in three versions, and the model codes can be confusing. Here is what each one means.

What all RM33 models share

  • One-piece rota-moulded cabinet: rust-proof and vandal resistant
  • IP33 rating against dust, dirt and moisture (install under cover)
  • 1.9-litre stainless steel tank, up to 30 litres of chilled water an hour
  • Front access panel with four concealed screws
  • 1/2" female BSP water inlet and 40mm drain with integrated p-trap
  • 410mm wide x 410mm deep x 1000mm high
  • Optional filtration

The three models

Model Dispensing Best for Price (inc GST)
RM33 Bubbler only Simple drinking stations, sports grounds $1,279
RM33GF Bubbler and glass filler Worksites and schools where people fill cups and bottles $1,329
RM33FA Foot-activated glass filler Mines, food prep and anywhere hands-free use matters $1,349

Prices are current at the time of writing. Check each product page for the latest price.

RM33: bubbler only

The base model, with a heavy-duty bubbler. Choose it when people mainly drink straight from the fountain.

RM33GF: bubbler and glass filler

"GF" stands for glass filler. As well as the bubbler, a second tap lets workers fill a cup, glass or drink bottle. Available in grey or orange; orange is easy to spot on a busy site.

RM33FA: foot-activated

"FA" stands for foot activated. A foot pedal operates the glass filler, so nobody has to touch the unit. This helps reduce cross-contamination on sites where hands are dirty or hygiene is critical.

Installation

Every RM33 needs a power point (1.5 m cord with a 3-pin plug), a water supply and a drain, and should be installed by a licensed plumber with a certified pressure limiting valve. It can be anchored to the floor. Waterworks says it must be protected from the weather, so install it under cover. A 1.5 m temporary drain kit is available. See our installation checklist for what to have ready.

Parts and upgrades

Keep your RM33 running with a replacement RM bubbler tap, or upgrade the filler with the standard glass and bottle filler tap or deluxe chrome filler tap.

Warranty

The RM33 Blizzard range comes with a 12-month parts and labour warranty from Waterworks. A certified pressure limiting valve must be fitted for the warranty to apply.
